Mrs. Josephine Ajouz

Social Worker

Mrs. Josephine Ajouz is a Lebanese social worker with extensive experience in healthcare and community service. She graduated from Saint Joseph University in 1990 and has since dedicated her career to supporting vulnerable populations.

She currently serves as a social worker at the Chronic Care Center, where she has been working since 2013, providing support to patients with thalassemia and type 1 diabetes and their families. Since 2017, she has also been a member of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) committee at the center.

In addition to her work in healthcare, Mrs. Ajouz has been a board member of the Orthodox Mutual Fund since 2022. Prior to her current roles, she served as the Director and Social Worker of the Medico-Social Center in Nabaa, affiliated with the Orthodox Archdiocese of Mount Lebanon, from 1990 to 2013.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to community service and the well-being of vulnerable populations. In addition to her ongoing professional roles, Mrs. Ajouz is also part of the medical-social team at “SAWA for Palliative Care,” where she supports patients and families through psychosocial and emotional care.
