Palliative Care Specialist

Mrs. Najibe Khalil is a Lebanese palliative care specialist with extensive expertise in nursing, education, and healthcare management. She holds a Master’s degree in Palliative Care Management from the Lebanese University, a Professional Diploma in Palliative Care Management from the German Jordanian University, and is a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Nurse.

With nearly 30 years of experience, she has worked extensively at St. George Hospital University Medical Center in Achrafieh. In her current role as Palliative Care Nurse Coordinator and Discharge Planner, she plays a vital role in patient support, symptom management, and end-of-life care. She is also a part-time instructor at the University of Balamand, contributing to both the BS and Master’s programs in nursing and palliative care.

Beyond clinical practice, Mrs. Khalil has significantly contributed to palliative care policy development, capacity building for nurses, and JCI accreditation preparation. She has also been involved in gerontology, geriatric training, and international palliative care programs. A recognized national speaker on palliative care and multiple sclerosis, she continues to advocate for improved standards of care.

Currently, Mrs. Khalil serves as the Nurse Manager of the NGO “SAWA for Palliative Care” and is an active member of the Lebanese Palliative Care Nursing Association.
