Archimandrite Antonios El Bitar: Chaplain and Spiritual Care Provider
Following his ordination, Father Antonios served in different communities across three continents and ministered in three languages. Through these experiences, he came to recognize that, despite differences in culture, nationality, or background, people often share the same hopes, fears, joys, and struggles. Whether in times of health or illness, he encountered a common human desire for understanding, dignity, compassion, and faith. His years of service broadened his perspective and deepened his appreciation for the richness of different cultures. They also reinforced his belief that meaningful relationships are built through listening, respect, and a genuine concern for others. These experiences have helped him accompany people from many walks of life while remaining attentive to each person’s unique circumstances and needs.

With a background in architecture, Father Antonios came to appreciate that strong communities are built not only through physical structures but, more importantly, through the people who inhabit them. Over time, his focus increasingly turned towards supporting and nurturing the “living stones” who together form the Body of Christ. He believes that enduring foundations are shaped through faith, integrity, compassion, and a willingness to serve others.

As a Scout Commissioner and Orthodox Youth leader, Father Antonios has served alongside others, encouraging collaboration, responsibility, and stewardship. He is committed to supporting young people and communities in their growth and development, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance wherever needed, helping those entrusted to his care grow in faith, responsibility, and love for their neighbors.
